????????❤️ While out tending to our fabulous garden (shoutout to Janel and Kait) a chubby little caterpillar was found making itself right at home! This little buddy grows into the White Lined Sphinx Moth! Our garden of native plants is attracting some awesome critters already!

This is something I have observed over the last few years. My Orioles leave nesting material in the jelly!! In one of my other feeders, I keep finding horse hair and in this feeder they left a piece of string/fabric!! Quirky birds they are!!

???????? Meet the White-breasted Nuthatch, a frequent visitor to bird feeders with its crisp black, gray, and white patterns. These lively and nimble birds have a penchant for insects and big, meaty seeds.

???????? You might find your thistle feeder swarmed by flocks of tiny Pine Siskins one winter, only for them to vanish the next! These nomadic finches are much less known compared to gold finches and house finches as they have a habit of ranging widely and unpredictably across the continent each winter, following the availability of seed crops.

???????? Take a stroll through the forest, and you might come across rows of shallow holes in tree bark. In the Eastern half of the U.S., you can thank the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker for this handiwork!
