The gym at Hitchin Swimming and Fitness Centre is a fantastic facility. With 100 stations of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, there really is something for everyone. Whether you prefer a cardio workout, functional exercises, taking on the resistance machines, boosting strength in the free weights area or a combination of all four. Whatever your fitness goals, we’ve got what you need to take your regime to the next level.

The jewel in the crown of the Hitchin Swimming and Fitness Centre is the fabulous 50m heated outdoor pool. What better way to enjoy those sun-filled summer days than with a dip in an outdoor pool? There’s both a smaller, shallower pool for kids to enjoy, while the larger pool is ideal for both leisure and lane swimming. You don’t have to wait until the sun’s out, either. A bracing outdoor swim will do you the world of good – whatever the weather!

Our three group fitness studios host an enormous breadth of classes. Whether you prefer something intense like Les Mills Bodycombat or something a little more relaxed such as Pilates or Yoga, there’s something for everyone here.

We’ve got two indoor swimming pools – a 25m main pool and a smaller teaching pool. Most of our swim sessions – including our award-winning swim lessons – take place in the main pool, while the teaching pool is reserved for smaller children’s first experiences of the water. As well as swimming lessons, we also offer loads of other sessions

Here at Hitchin Swimming and Fitness Centre, we’ve got something for everyone. Regardless of age or fitness level, we’ve got a whole range of sports and activities available. There’s a large, well-equipped gym, loads of group exercise classes available in our dedicated studios, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools where the whole family can enjoy the water, whatever the weather.
